My Tro Breizh®
Today, doing the Tro Breizh® means traveling across Brittany on foot, off the beaten track, and discovering all the richness of its heritage. A beautiful loop of almost 2000 kilometers to be completed in stages.
Le Tro Breizh®
or “Tour de Bretagne” in BretonLe Tro Breizh® is a thousand-year-old pilgrimage route, which connects the towns founded by the seven founding saints of Brittany: Corentin to Quimper, Paul Aurélien at Saint-Pol-de-Leon, Tugdual to Treguier, Brieuc to Saint Brieuc, Malo to Saint Malo, Samson to Dol-de-Bretagne and Patern to Valves.
In the Middle Ages, every good Breton must have made the journey at least once in their life to hope to reach paradise.
This beautiful loop of almost 2000 kilometers offers so many varied landscapes to discover. If the customs officers' path shows a coastal Brittany, the Tro Breizh®, for its part, shows a lot of the “Inner” Brittany. This “Breton Compostela” invites you to discover the region, its traditions and legends, its little-known landscapes full of mystery, its typical heritage: castles and manor houses, beaches, heaths and forests, small churches and cathedrals...

Le Saint-Brieuc/Saint-Malo section is a new stage opened in 2023, with a main route of 150 km and a 64 km variant. Here, the path connects Dinan and the Rance from Arguenon, crossing the countryside and its villages. It then takes the left bank of the banks of the Rance to the estuary, then Saint-Malo. The variant, for its part, follows the Arguenon to its estuary and runs along the coastline on the Emerald Coast towards Dinard then Saint-Malo.
Follow the ermine (the marking signs) and set off on the paths to discover Corseul and its Gallo-Roman remains, Dinan the medieval, the banks of the Rance, the castles of the Hunaudaye, Guildo and Lehon...
