Pets
Which beaches are dog friendly?FRÉHEL: Dogs and horses are prohibited on the beaches of Fréhel (Anse du Croc and Sables d'Or) as well as in the marsh of Sables d'Or les Pins from May 1 to September 30 from 9 a.m. to 21 p.m.
PLEVENON: Dogs and horses allowed before 9 a.m. and after 21 p.m. from July 1 to August 31 on the beaches of Les Grèves d'en Bas, La Fosse and Château Serein.
SAINT-CAST-LE-GUILDO: Dogs are allowed on all beaches from June 15 to September 15, on a leash, before 9 a.m. and after 20 p.m. Outside this period, they are tolerated, provided they are kept on a leash.
SAINT-JACUT-DE-LA-MER: The beaches are prohibited to dogs and horses from May 1st to September 30th. Ébihens: dogs are not allowed on the beaches of Ébihens, the beach is authorized between the Pointe du Chevet and the entrance to the island. Dogs are not allowed on the island.

Shuttles DYNAMO allow you to travel around Dinan for free all year round and the DINAMO summer shuttles connect Dinan to Cap Fréhel and Dinan to Bétineuc in July and August.
Line 1 Dinan <> Sables-d'Or-les-Pins: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
(Circuit n° 1 bis: Plélan-le-Petit <> Corseul: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays)

Good to know :
The natural site of Cap Fréhel (July-August): Line 2 (Breizhgo) or Dinamo summer shuttles
The natural site of Cap Fréhel (September to June): Line 2 (Saint-Brieuc - Plévenon), the closest stop is located in the town of Plévenon. Then walk 1h15 across the moor before reaching the natural site. There is no bus line out of season between Cap Fréhel and Dinan, or between Cap Fréhel and Saint-Malo.
Where to park in Dinan?Intra-muros car parks are chargeable, extra-muros car parks are free. The 8 extra-mural car parks are located between 10 and 15 minutes on foot from the historic center.
It is possible to pay for your parking space in Dinan directly with the Flowbird application.
Every year, from October to March, the City of Dinan offers 1 hour of parking in barrier car parks (Hôtel de Ville, Duguesclin, Thiers and Center Historique).
New : from July 1, 2023: All car parks in the center (with barriers, underground and parking meters) are chargeable 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (even Sundays and public holidays). They are free between 19 p.m. and 19 a.m.

Festivities, markets
When will the next Remparts festival take place?The next Fête des Remparts will take place in July 2025.
When will the next Route du Rhum take place?The start of the next Route du Rhum will take place in November 2026 in Saint-Malo, and the first buoy which indicates the official start of the race is located off Cap Fréhel.

The tourist office offers a festivities booklet every 15 days from September to June and every week in July and August. It is distributed by email and available in our tourist information offices.

What are the opening hours of the Tourist Office?Dinan-Cap Fréhel Tourisme has 4 reception offices open all year round: Dinan, Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer and Fréhel. There are also 3 offices open from the Easter holidays to All Saints' Day: Plancoët, Plévenon and Matignon and finally 2 seasonal offices: Beaussais-sur-Mer, Sables-d'Or-les-Pins.

Natural sites and gardens
How to get to the island of Ébihens?Ébihens Island is only accessible at low tide. From Rougeret beach to the entrance to the island, allow a 1⁄2 hour walk. The island is private and only access via the central path which crosses the island from south to north is tolerated. The beaches are public, so you can access them freely.
The crossing of the island from south to north also takes 1⁄2 hour, making a total round trip of 2 hours to 2 hours 15 minutes, representing approximately 7 km. Advice: Remember to protect yourself (hat, sunscreen); as well as bringing shoes (boots, jellyfish, etc.) to cross small areas of water. It is possible to cross the foreshore barefoot, however Rougeret beach has many pieces of shells which can be sharp.
