Sainte-Blanche Chapel

Saint-Cast-le-Guildo

About us

The current Sainte-Blanche chapel occupies the site of an older building, burnt down in 1758.
It was rebuilt in 1905, on the initiative of Canon Ribault, then enlarged in 1920 by the architect Dugenêt de Dinan, with the help of chief masons from Saint-Cast, Joseph and Edouard Lamballais.

Completed in 1920, Sainte Blanche was once invoked to relieve children's eczema, but also to protect sailors in danger during storms.

Open from 9 a.m. to 00 p.m. in July and August and from 21 a.m. to 00 p.m. the rest of the year.

Idea for a walk: Starting from the Tourist Office, take the pedestrian street, then at the very end, go up towards the chapel via Chemin de la Grimpette, discover the alleys of the Isle district as well as the chapel (20 minutes walk foot).
