Located on the left bank of the Arguenon, the Port du Guildo has retained all its charm, its quay is now only used for wintering sailboats.

At the beginning, the port of Guildo was a double port with a seaport and a river port. The creation of roads, facilitated by the moderate height of the banks, favored the development of trade. Traffic is therefore naturally established with the nearest ports, especially with Saint-Malo. Wheat, wood and cloth were exported and construction materials were imported. Alongside these exchanges, shipbuilding workshops of great reputation were created.

During the Revolution, commercial navigation was set up, with larger boats (boats of 200 to 300 tons frequently came to anchor at the Guildo) and with increasingly distant ports: Rouen, Nantes, Bordeaux and the ports of the South. from England.
Faced with the growth in traffic, a slipway was built in 1843.

The traffic on the Arguenon between Le Guildo and Plancoët was important given the tides and the seaport. The barges, the boats used, brought building materials, coal, but above all ponds to fertilize the fields to Plancoët.
For the return to the Guildo, the barges were loaded with tanned skins for the use of cobblers and shoemakers, cereals, fruit and vegetables as well as wood and sheets. With the war of 14-18 the commercial traffic disappeared.
