About us
The Resistance Museum in Argoat is part of a place that carries memories. It was in the heart of the nearby forest of Coatmallouen that the Plésidy maquis in Saint-Connan was set up in early July 1944. With several hundred men, it faced the occupying troops during the fighting of July 27, 1944 and then participated in the liberation of Guingamp and its region.
The history of the Second World War and the Resistance in the west of the Côtes d'Armor is told to you through five exhibition spaces and a screening room. The occupation, the resistance, the maquis and their allies, the Plésidy maquis in Saint-Connan, the liberation are all themes covered in a fun and lively tour, leaving plenty of room for audiovisual.
The entire museum is translated into English.
A program of events, conferences and temporary exhibitions is offered to the public (see the agenda).
