Destination Dinan-Cap Fréhel is 130 km of long-distance footpath (GR) :
On the sea side, the “customs footpath” (or GR34), the most maritime of the trails runs along 6 towns of the destination (Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, Matignon, Pléboulle, Fréhel, Plévenon and totals 67.5 km of breathtaking views of the Emerald Coast.
From Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer to Sables-d'Or-les-Pins, the path is bordered sometimes by small beaches, each one more charming than the other, sometimes by large expanses of fine sand. Ideal places for a break with your feet in the water.
Between huge pink sandstone cliffs at Cap Fréhel, turquoise sea and superb coves of fine sand, your eyes will be delighted! Let yourself be surprised by the ball of birds, the backwash of the waves and the lush vegetation. Whether you are a hiker, or a simple walker for a walk, its breathtaking views of the sea will surely thrill you!
On the land or river side, travel along the banks of the Rance between Dinan and Dinard along the GR34 C and discover one of the most remarkable estuaries in Brittany. Walk peacefully on the towpaths, browse the local heritage, discover our charming ports, our many chapels nestled in the countryside...
- The Rance is on one side maritime, and on the other fluvial, "it's up to you to choose your camp"! La Rance maritime, up to its estuary, closed off by the tidal power plant, offers a marine atmosphere with its ports, its moorings, its slipways and its body of water animated by the rhythm of the tides.
- The river Rance, with calmer waters, allows hikers, walkers and other nature enthusiasts to discover La Rance from all angles: history, heritage, fauna, flora, nature, locks...
