To start the day well, we wake up on one of the downtown terraces, at the gates of the rue du Jerzual. Coffee for one and tea for the other, we (both of us!) love the gavottes, the famous lace pancakes with salted butter caramel. As for the atmosphere, we couldn't dream of better: we are totally under the spell of the half-timbered houses... And the morning calm!
In the cafe, you can see the inhabitants who start their day by reading the newspaper or the other travelers who prepare, guide in hand, their stay in Dinan or Cap-Fréhel.
By talking with the waiter, we learn that if the rue du Jerzual is so emblematic in Dinan, it is that its history is several centuries long! Until the 1930s, it hosted the shops of many craftsmen such as tanners, basket makers and even weavers. From the 70s, artists also set up their easels here. Without further ado, head for rue du Jerzual which connects the port to the historic center !
Escape for a romantic trip to the historic center
We are continuing our visit of Dinan for two leaving to explore the historical Center which is located at the end of rue du Jerzual! After a few minutes, the narrow streets of the pretty medieval town lead us to the famous Basilica of Saint-Sauveur in Dinan then in front of Clock Tower. We take the time to stop in front of the windows of the small shops where we discover unique and original objects. You will have understood it, to visit Dinan, you have to dare to push the doors of the exhibitions et art galleries !
Music lovers or simply curious, we recommend the Celtic harp museum nestled in an old house with narrow floors: the old Dinan Tourist Office ! To enjoy a nice view, the ramparts offer a 360° view of the old town, the Rance and the charming little bridges.

In the evening, go back down rue du Jerzual for the ride on the port of dinan. In summer as in winter, the walk is always magic when one skirts the quays at the time of the golden hour : the warm colors of the sunset are magnificent.

Organize a day in the village of Léhon

Inside, we marvel in theabbey church, cloister, monks' refectory, Beaumanoir Chapel… We end with theformer fortified castle of Léhon which proudly guards the valley from its rocky promontory.
