Le Moulin du Prat is an old tide mill, built in the XNUMXth century and maybe even earlier, and ruined in the early XNUMXth century. Many tide mills were active in Rance. They used the force of the tide to turn their millstones: a water reservoir near the mill filled up with the rising tide, then flowed into the Rance at the falling tide. By combining with the force of the ebb current, the water made it possible to set in motion the wheel, connected to the millstones.

The Moulin du Prat is unique in Rance today, thanks to the renovation it benefited from in the 2000s, by the action of passionate volunteers.

The mill is open from March to November by appointment (groups of 10 people or more).
May-June and September, Sunday 14:30-18:30 p.m.
July-August every day from 14:30 p.m. to 18:30 p.m.

Outside of opening times, it is possible to walk to the site and see the buildings and the Rance.

Prices - adults €4 / free for children under 12 / students, people with disabilities, groups €3.

The site is accessible on foot (600m) / Access authorized for vehicles for people with disabilities.
