About us

    In the heart of Brittany, the Tertre de Brandefert is a preserved natural site of 96 hectares, supplying the mineral water source of Plancoët. Renowned for its exceptional biodiversity, this place is described as an "exceptional island of ordinary biodiversity" and is home to 795 animal species. Since 2009, researchers from the University of Rennes, in collaboration with the municipality of Plancoët and the company Eau minéralle Naturelle de Plancoët, have been conducting an in-depth study there to preserve and enhance this unique ecosystem.

    How to get there
    To access the Tertre de Brandefert, head towards Avenue de Sassay in Plancoët, where there is a car park opposite the Plancoët water bottling plant.

    Pratical information
    From the car park, educational panels provide information on the local flora and fauna, allowing you to discover the natural riches of the mound while learning.

    Advice to visitors
    Let yourself be carried away by the path leading to the old quarry, a peaceful place where meadows, woods and water points make up an enchanting natural setting. This path is ideal for nature lovers looking for tranquility.
