The maritime heritage of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer

Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer

About us

  • 6 Km
  • Easy-to-use

Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer is an authentic, almost perfect peninsula. The so-called "Isle" is part of a large, varied and complex bay: the Ebihens bay, in the center of an "Emerald Coast" so rich in colors.
Departing from the post office, this walk invites you to explore the peninsula and its magnificent landscapes from one bay to another. First the Baie de l'Arguenon, on the west side, where stakes (bouchots) are set up for mussel farming, as well as oyster beds, then the Baie de Beaussais, on the east, a body of water beautiful, conducive to water activities.
Witnesses to its rich history and maritime past, the port facilities and architecture are representative of a Breton fishing village.
