The Nautical Center of Saint-Cast-Le Guildo organizes initiation outings to traditional sailing on "Frotte-Berniques", a replica of a small traditional fishing sailboat.
The ride, labeled "nautical ride and hike in Brittany", allows you to learn how to handle a traditional sailboat, with one of the nautical guides (state-certified) from the nautical center of Saint-Cast. With its colorful sails, the "dragous" (type of boat that fished using a dredge), nicknamed "Frotte-berniques", is the replica of a small traditional sailboat that practiced fishing in the Bay of Saint-Cast at the end of the XNUMXth century.
As a crew, you can alternately hoist the sails, hold the helm, manoeuvre… and imagine the daily life of these sailors who lived off the sea.
Knowing the body of water perfectly, your guide will take you from the Bay of Arguenon to the Ebihens archipelago, or towards Cap Fréhel, in a landscape in motion, varying with the tides and the wind.
