Lake and castles in Plorec-sur-Arguenon

Plorec-sur-Arguenon

About us

  • 12,8 Km
  • Medium

Starting from the town of Plorec, this walk joins the banks of the Arguenon which it partly runs along, then goes up towards the Bily wood by small country roads, before returning to the starting point. Rural atmosphere and tranquility guaranteed for hikers who love nature and calm, in a hilly landscape where agricultural activities are very present.

Old tumuli (feudal mounds of Guénault, of the Lower Tower) and several manors bear witness to the ancient occupation of the town. Plan a detour to discover the tumulus of Guénault, a former feudal mound above the Arguenon.

Please note: it is advisable to be properly equipped (shoes) to walk the paths, some of which are steep along the Arguenon.

Find this hike in the topo-guide "walks and hikes" (Dinan Agglomeration) on sale in the tourist information offices of Dinan Cap Fréhel tourisme
