From Dinan to Evran along the Ille-et-Rance canal

Dinan

About us

  • 24 Km
  • Easy-to-use

From the port of Dinan, this 24 km route takes the towpath and is a bucolic stroll along the Ille-et-Rance canal. Many heritage points of interest mark out the route, which is totally secure since it is entirely on gentle paths. The route crosses the right bank upstream and joins the Small City of Character of Léhon, and its lock, the Saint Magloire Abbey, founded by the Benedictine monks in the XNUMXth century and its medieval castle, whose ruins dominate the village. . You then reach the left bank after crossing the old bridge, and the ride continues from lock to lock to the port of Evran, a pretty busy nautical stopover.
The return to the starting point is by the same path, with the possibility of a variant by going around the lake of Bétineuc (3.5 km).
