Le Moulin du Prat is an old tide mill, built in the XNUMXth century and ruined at the end of the XNUMXth century. Many tide mills were active in Rance. They used the force of the tide to turn their millstones: a water reservoir near the mill filled up with the rising tide, then flowed into the Rance at the falling tide. By combining with the force of the ebb current, the water made it possible to set in motion the wheel, connected to the millstones.
The Moulin du Prat is unique in Rance today, thanks to the renovation it benefited from in the 2000s, by the action of passionate volunteers.
