Hiking idea Day 1 Morning
The circuit of the 3 rivers 4h40
Our first day of hiking immerses us in the characteristic landscapes of the region. On the program of our escapade, a beautiful route from Port d'Evran to the Ille et Rance canal, without forgetting the stopover at the Bétineuc leisure centre.
Starting point: the port of Evran! We take the direction of the “Bois de Tison” to quickly reach the Château de Beaumanoir which overlooks the Rance valley. This building classified as a historic monument (XNUMXth century) is simply magnificent. Mandatory souvenir photo!

The rest of the hike takes us to the Aulnays farm, a place to know absolutely if you are fond of 100% organic cheese! We even see Annie and Jérôme at work, surrounded by their beautiful dairy cows. On the left of the building, take the time to contemplate the 2 beautiful frescoes…
We continue with the Manor of the Touch, a beautiful guest room topped with its XNUMXth century chapel.
Next stopover: the Mottay lock which spans the Canal d'Ille et Rance, to then recover the towpath for 2 km. Our encounter with these small buildings does not stop there: the Roche lock also awaits us a little further!

In the distance, we see a pretty undergrowth: it leads us straight to the Bétineuc leisure center. You are with your family ? Take notes ! It is the ideal spot to organize a great day of activities with the little ones. We then take the opportunity to take a little cool break (well deserved) at the edge of the pond.
The road is calling us! On our way, the remains of an old church catch our eye… One of the many legacies of the past that punctuate our journey. 700 meters further, direction Ville Ven. Following “Bleuquen”, we finally arrive at the Roseraie then at the Domaine du Triskell Rouge. It's the perfect place to stock up on saffron and Breton rice. Cooks, to your recipes!
We then cross the farm before returning to the road and taking the direction of Plessix on the right. There, a row of charming little houses awaits us. We finally reach the port by following the boulevard Docteur Ernest Gautier.

Hiking idea Day 2
The grand tour of Cap Fréhel 6h30
We end these 2 days of hiking in Brittany by the grand tour of Cap Fréhel : an essential walk to do between the moors and the two points.
In total, it will take more than 6 hours to make this loop 22 km ! Something to delight lovers of walking in the great outdoors.
Our first stick plant is at the Anse du Croc car park from where we pick up the GR34, voted favorite path of the French, which winds through the dunes of the municipal campsite of Fréhel. Our gaze is then offered an alternation of breathtaking panoramas on the coast between dunes and pines.

We are nearing the goal: the famous Cap Fréhel is in sight! Along the way, we cross the moor and its palettes of pink and golden colors as far as the eye can see at the beginning of summer.
That's it, here we are, this "Grand Site de France"® immediately imposes itself with its cliffs overhanging 70 meters above sea level.
This site is guarded by a lighthouse that can be visited in summer, which is one of the 5 most powerful lighthouses in France. From the top of its 150 steps, there is a panorama of the coast with a guaranteed wow effect.
Continuing on the coastal path, we pass next to the Fauconnière ornithological reserve where several hundred pairs of seabirds nest. Binoculars recommended to admire the show.
Our next objective is seen: the impregnable Fort la Latte.
Take out your cameras, the view of Anse des Sévignés also deserves its little shot!

Arrival at the famous Fort the Latte, this pink sandstone fortress erected on a rocky outcrop is the most visited castle in Brittanye. An essential visit to make during our 2 days of hiking in Brittany.
We then reach the charming Port Saint-Guéran through a pretty little undergrowth (2km) before reaching Château-Serein beach.
At low tide, the oyster and bouchot beds of the producers of the bay are available to our gaze.

Our days of Breton hiking conclude through flowery localities and country lanes to our starting point. Gourcʼhemennoù*, we have arrived!
