Our pancake recipe

Is there anything better than pancakes? Sweet or savory, hot or cold, as a snack or for dinner, they adapt to our moods and are always unanimous!

The crepe is THE emblematic dish of Brittany.

The recipe is very easy to make, you only need a few ingredients. 

Ingredients

  • 500 g of wheat flour
  • 130 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 liter of milk 

Step 1

Pour the flour into a bowl, forming a well. 
Break the eggs and place them in the center, along with the sugar and the previously melted butter.

Step 2

Mix with a whisk, gradually adding the milk. 
Continue until any lumps have completely disappeared. 

The consistency is perfect when the dough is smooth (if necessary add a little flour to thicken or milk to dilute). 

Let stand 1 h.

Step 3

To cook, heat a non-stick crepe maker. 
Ladle in some batter and spread it over the bottom of the pan. Leave to cook for a few seconds.

Flip the crepe using a spatula when the edges start to come off, finish cooking for a few seconds on the second side.

You can prepare the pancakes a few minutes in advance, stack them, cover them with aluminum foil and keep them in a warm oven.

 

Step 4

To garnish your pancakes, let your imagination run wild: caster sugar or icing sugar, jam, fresh fruit, salted butter caramel, melted chocolate, whipped cream...

Spread the pancakes to your liking and enjoy!

 

Tip: You can add 2 sachets of vanilla sugar to lightly flavor the dough, or orange blossom, a vanilla pod, rum...
