Our itinerary from Dinan to Dinard by bike

Direction Dinard!

The starting point of this route the green way V2-V3 is located on the port of Dinan. On your marks, get set, pedal! Let's go for 23 km of pleasure. By bicycle, you go along the bars and restaurants of the marina to take the towpath. On the program: calm, nature and tranquility for this pretty Breton walk...

We arrive on the plain of Taden, where a break is essential! Neither one nor two, we find a small patch of grass where we can rest for a few minutes before getting back in the saddle. Ball of birds or boats, here, we don't have to choose!

At Lamoureux

Next stop on our cycling tour between Dinan and Dinard: the picturesque town of Taden. We pedal between the stone houses until we reach Grand'Cour Manor for a well-deserved break. This jewel of medieval architecture is classified as a Historic Monument, being one of the rare examples in Brittany of a XNUMXth century logis-porch. As much to say to you that it is worth the glance!

The good idea

Make a gourmet stop at The Fairy Hut on the Plain of Taden. This cozy chalet offers crepes and pancakes made with local products.

The bike ride continues between Saint-Samson and Dinard, along an old railway line.

There are no cars here! It is the ideal path for a serene walk with the children. Under the trees in the colors of autumn, we walk along old stations passing near Pleslin Trigavou and the famous megalithic alignment of the Champ des Roches.

More than a few pedal strokes! It is at the entrance to Dinard that the greenway ends, as well as the ride from Dinan to Dinard by bike. It's time to take a breather by setting foot on the ground to discover the wonders of this Belle Epoque-style city.

See the emerald life in Dinard

Ask a Breton to describe Dinard and here is what he will answer:

  • Timeless
  • Fresh
  • elegant

Between British influences and Belle Époque style, this seaside resort on the Emerald Coast is the perfect destination after a bike ride from Dinan.

One day a haven of peace for English aristocrats, the next day a privileged destination for holidays by the sea… The 407 listed villas testify to this worldly past and today offer a superb setting to holidaymakers.

First step to soak up the charm of the city: stroll between the art galleries, casino and hotels in Dinard. After this urban interlude comes a breath of fresh, iodized air by the sea. Head for the promenade at Clair-de-Lune, between Prieuré beach and Pointe du Moulinet. From here, you can contemplate the bay of Saint-Malo.

You can even join Saint Malo by boat (and with the bike!). 10 minutes are enough to transport us from the chic atmosphere of Dinard to the historic Malouine city.
