Need to get some fresh air? Nothing better than a cycling getaway along the region's greenways! Mainly reserved for cyclists, they guarantee the preservation of local heritage and the environment. The only greenway in Dinan-Cap Fréhel, the V2-V3 is (unpretentiously 🙄), one of the most beautiful cycle routes to explore in Brittany! On your way, you can take parts of the cycle route, but the ride is no less pleasant!
On each side of the greenway 💚
Several routes are available to you: departing from the port of Dinan, follow the Rance then take the old railway line towards Dinard / Saint-Malo. For the most motivated among you, it's a very nice circuit that allows you to reach the sea in 1h40 by bike! It's the perfect opportunity to sing the song “we've come a long way, we've gone the distance…”. Bring out the star in you! 🎤
On the other side of the port of Dinan, the southern part of the greenway which joins Evran separates at the level of the pond of Betineuc. The V2 continues along the Ille-et-Rance canal until reaching Arzal via Rennes and above the Vilaine river. This is our favorite part of the greenway to take the most beautiful photos of this lush nature. A real postcard! 🗺️
And for the more adventurous, the V2 greenway crosses Redon, a stage of the Vélodyssée. A must-do route if you want to cycle to the Atlantic coast! This is our favorite stage! 😉
V3 continues on our territory at the level of the Land of Faluns in Tréfumel. The route includes stops at Le Quiou. Then, the circuit ends in Questembert, towards the Presqu'île de Rhuys. An itinerary of choice for visiting the different facets of the region during a family stay.

1. The part of Ille-et-Rance by bike 🏘️
For bucolic stay closer to nature, opt for a bike ride on the towpath which runs along the canal. From Dinan and towards Evran, the 12 km route promises a few surprises to admire, such as the small town of Léhon and its romantic locks. Once along the Bétineuc pond, you have arrived at your destination: welcome to the Land of the Faluns ! The bike lane offers a fabulous spectacle where the gauge stone, a former shellfish deposit, has marked the facades of the houses and the activities around the quarries with its pale color. We want to go back! 🤗
2. The bike route between the Ille-et-Rance canal and Coëtquen 🛤️
From a distance of 34 km, the bike circuit “between Rance and Coëtquen” departing from the port of Dinan allows you to discover beautiful landscapes shaped by agriculture. From villages to villages with remarkable old buildings and up to the forest of Coetquen, it's an opportunity to work on your endurance! Who knows, after all, the future champion of the Tour de France could be you! 🏆
3. A bike course a short distance from the coast 🌊
Finally, the bike link from Plancoët to Saint-Jacut is the nicest way to reach the Cote from the commercial and flowery city. There 17 km bike lane offers lovely views of the Arguenon as well as the ruins of the Château du Guildo. You know what they say: after the effort, the comfort. A few more pedal strokes and you can take a dip! 💦
For the most motivated, we continue and join the Velomaritime in the direction of Sables-d'Or-les-Pins.
