6 activities for the holidays
This year, the All Saints holidays are spent in Brittany. We decided to take advantage of the fall to test new activities around Dinan. Take to the skies, pedal at full speed or have a good time at the spa, discover our 6 ideas for enjoying an autumn in Brittany! On the program: discoveries, relaxation and tastings!
Climb to the top of the Cap Fréhel lighthouse

In the family of the most powerful lighthouses in France, we ask for the Cap Fréhel lighthouse. He sits in fifth place in the standings, and for good reason. Its lantern sits over 100 meters above sea level and ranges over 53 kilometers. Something to impress us and arouse our curiosity…

Let's go for the ascent of the 145 steps of the lighthouse! Arrived at the top, we take full eyes. In the distance, Fort La Latte, the bay of Saint-Malo, the island of Bréhat and the Cotentin coast can be seen. We have the feeling of being alone in the world, especially since no other brave climbed the lighthouse at the same time as us. That's the joys of Brittany in the fall!

Try shore fishing in Brittany in autumn
Even in the fall, we dreamed of the seaside! So why not learn the techniques of fishing on foot, as well as the spots where to practice it? We put on our rubber boots in the direction of Saint-Cast-Le-Guildo for a "responsible" shore fishing trip, so dear to the hearts of Bretons. Thus, each of the crabs or clams picked up is immediately released!
And if you want to know more, discover our tips for trying shore fishing in northern Brittany:
Criss-cross the banks of the Rance in the fall by bike
On Tuesday, it's aperitif bike ride! Autumn in Brittany is the ideal season for cycling on the banks of the Rance. The meeting point is given at the level of the Dinan-Lanvallay stone bridge. We choose our bike while some opt for a tandem before taking the greenway towards the port of La Hisse.
On the way, the river widens as we go. We only cross paths with few travellers, apart from the egrets and gray herons that inhabit Brittany. The arrival at La Hisse marks half of the route. An aperitif based on local products is a must before turning around, with the autumn colors in the background!
Learn about pottery in Corseul
Holiday activities often revolve around cycling or walking to explore the region. What if we got our hands dirty?
This is what they offer Sandra and Corentin, in their pottery workshop located in Corseul. The opportunity to learn about enamelling, modeling and turning. We work the clay for no less than two hours and let our creativity speak. A real moment of sharing around Breton know-how, perfect for an autumn day in Brittany!
And if pottery becomes a real passion, it is possible to carry out a course of one or more days at Sandra's Pottery !

Relax in a spa in Brittany
As the days get shorter and cooler, we have only one idea in mind: take a wellness break after a day of walking in the cool! And to recharge your batteries, what could be better than a relaxing day in a spa, hammam or sauna?
The Emerald Coast is full of well-being and thalasso centers conducive to a moment of total disconnection. A cocooning break to start your autumn holidays in Brittany! We didn't hesitate for a second before diving into 38°C water facing the most beautiful Breton landscapes! And you?
