Bike route n°1: from Roscoff to Mont-Saint-Michel via Cap Fréhel
Beginners or experienced cyclists, we invite you to explore La Vélomaritime! Get in the saddle to discover one of the most beautiful stretches of the route, along the Emerald Coast. During this two-wheeled trip, you will explore the wild coast of Brittany, from Cap Fréhel to the charming seaside resort of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo.
Highlights of this cycling route
🔦 A visit to one of the most powerful lighthouses in France: the Cap Fréhel lighthouse
📍 The iodized stopover on one of the 7 fine sand beaches of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo
👀 The detour via the peninsula of Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer
Pedaling by the sea!
The route has no less than 50 lighthouses! Cylindrical or octagonal in shape, in pink granite or red brick, on an island or a cape, each of them is worth a detour. And if there is one at the foot of which we advise you to let go of the handlebars, it is that of Cap Fréhel: one of the 5 most powerful lighthouses in France, just that! Is the weather fine? Climb to the top of the lighthouse to take in the view of the coastline. Nothing like it to keep warming up your calves!
Take advantage of this bike ride in Brittany to contemplate the wild landscapes that surround you: you alternate between moors and rocky points until you come to a pretty beach. Offshore, the Ébihens archipelago catches the eye of those who venture onto the Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer peninsula. Do you feel this wind of freedom?
For the more motivated, head inland, to the south of the coast, where elevations and hilly landscapes increase towards Pleslin-Trigavou. The megalithic site of Champ des Roches even offers you an intimate stopover. Something to reward your efforts!
