Turn the page, like Riad Sattouf💡
If the name Riad Sattouf doesn't ring a bell, then maybe the title The Arab of the future speaks to you! Comic book author and director, Riad Sattouf spent a few years running on the beaches of Cap Fréhel when he was a child. His great-great-grandfather was also the caretaker from the lighthouse (classy!).
You know what you have to do? Slide one of his comics in your hiking bag, just to read a little after the picnic. 🥰

📍Hiking “From the moors of Cap Fréhel to the two points”, Route du Cap, Bourg de Plévenon (motorhome parking), Plévenon
Enjoy the fresh air of Plancoët, like François-René de Chateaubriand 🧘
Francois-René de Chateaubriand was a famous French writer and politician. Born in Saint Malo On September 4, 1768, he was also buried - as he had requested - at Grand Bé in front of Saint-Malo, on July 19, 1848.
But why are we telling you all this 🤔? Because, born a frail baby, he spent his early childhood "in the fresh air of Plancoët" where his grandmother, Madame de Bedée, had entrusted him to a nanny. Always good to know, especially if you have planned a hike in the area! 😉

Go to the end of the world, like Auguste Pavie 🧭
Born in Dinan In 1847, this explorer and diplomat spent 25 years of his life in the countries ofex-Indochina (between 1869 and 1895). He was even the one who drew the first map in 1899 (no less! 😶).
But rest assured, there is no need to run to the ends of the earth to follow the example ofAuguste Pavie. Walk the trails between the beautiful medieval town of Dinan and Small Town of Character of Léhon is enough to follow in his footsteps and go on an adventure! 🤠

Saddle up your trusty steed, like Bertrand Duguesclin 🐴
Bertrand Duguesclin, he is a famous and even essential character of the town of Broons born in 1320. Because this brave knight experienced a History marked by the wars of the XNUMXth century: that of the Hundred Years then that of the Succession of Brittany (as if the first one wasn't enough 😱). From the lordship of La Motte-Broons, he ended up as constable of the king Charles V (basically, he managed the royal stables, the administration and the conduct of the armies).
To get your foot in the stirrup and gallop along the paths that made the history of this great knight, head to Cambel et Broons ! Don't forget your banner and your plate armor… 😏

Back to basics, like Bernard Buffet 🎨
Great expressionist painter of the 20th century, Bernard Buffet has accumulated more than 800 works to his name. Among them, a large part of his paintings are representations of beaches and the sea… Breton, of course! 🌊
In 1964, the artist even acquired a Belle Époque-style villa in Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, a villa where he had spent his holidays as a child. He lived there from 1964 to 1970. A return to his roots that allowed him to produce all these beautiful paintings that we are so proud of today 🤩. Want to be inspired by his work and the salty air of the Côtes d'Armor ? Meet near Pen Guen for a hike that stimulates your creativity! 👏
