Medieval town and Small Town of Character
Morning3, 2, 1, start of the adventure Dinan ! First of all, how to get there? Opt for the train, an ecological option, which drops you off just a 10-minute walk from the historic center! Otherwise, the free shuttle Dynamo (electric!) will take you there in the blink of an eye. Take line 4, which runs Monday to Saturday, and get off at the “Cordeliers” or “Saint-Sauveur” stop, in the heart of the historic center.
Neither one, nor two, equipped with plan, wander the cobbled streets for a discovery walk (1h30-2h), immerse yourself in history by costumed guided tour, or play the apprentice knights with the game Via Ludus !
It's time for a gourmet break! 🔔 For visit Brittany like a Breton, you are forced to go to square one: enjoy a pancake in a traditional creperie ! The Breton specialties to enjoy without further delay: buckwheat pancakes, salted butter caramel pancakes, far breton, kouign amann... (and so many others!😋)
To digest, nothing like Jerzual to put your calves to the test, and set off to meet the Dinan artists and their know-how. The opportunity to bring back some unique souvenirs! After descending the 75m drop in this picturesque street, and strolling around the port of Dinan, rent Bicycle in Kaouann, eco-responsible chartered and also labeled Fair Tourism! 🌿 Walk along the towpath, for a 100% relaxing stroll along the Rance, to the center of Lehon, Small Town of Character Breton, before returning to the port of Dinan. If you want to do it on foot, the round trip takes around 1h30.
For these first two nights, we recommend these eco-labeled accommodation located in the city center of Dinan, or accessible free of charge with the shuttles Dynamo. A comfortable and environmentally friendly stay!
Allow an extra day in Dinan if your train arrives later on the first day.
Bike ride and observation of fauna and flora
DayGo green Britain ? Cycle along the Rance! And for this, two cycle routes are available to you:
Dinan - Evran (24 km one way): A peaceful stroll on the greenway, with a well-deserved picnic break at the Bétineuc pond!
Dinan - Dinard (23 km one way): A sporting route which will take you to the seaside town of Dinard, taking the EV42 greenway.
If you are not staying in the center of Dinan, and the Dinamo shuttles do not run on Sundays, you can have your bike delivered to your accommodation!
If cycling is not your cup of tea, you can participate in a nature animation with the naturalist guides of the House of Rance! Located at the port of Dinan, you will learn in a fun way about the fauna and flora that inhabit the Valley 🐦
Lagoon, beach and Grand Site
MorningTake the summer shuttle Dinamo (line 1) to arrive at Sables-d'Or-les-Pins at the end of the morning. This shuttle runs every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday in July-August. Explore the seaside resort as you wish: by Rosalie for a touch of fantasy, Strolling along to enjoy the sun, or on horseback for an air of freedom!
AfternoonPicnic or restaurant, you are spoiled for choice: on the edge of the lagoon, on the fine sand beach, in the Vallée de Diane, or in the heart of the resort? 🧺
Cycling or water activity, that is the question!
Go to Cap Fréhel by bike: Rent a bike and set off on a 3-hour round trip loop to Cap Fréhel, classified as a Grand Site de France. Admire the spectacular landscapes and enjoy the sea air!
Take a surf lesson or paddle ride: Opt for a water activity with Armor Surf School, an eco-responsible surf school.🌿 Thrills guaranteed!
Dinamo summer line 1 will take you to Matignon for two nights at eco-labeled campsite Vallon aux Merlettes.🌿 The shuttle will drop you off a 10-minute walk from the campsite, getting off at the “Place Rioust” stop.
100% soft mobility day
MorningToday is the line 31 Breizhgo, which you are going to test! Head to the seaside resort of Saint-Cast-le-Guildo, for an arrival in the morning. To visit the station, choose: Alfred's treasure hunt, Emerald walking tour of 3km (1h30), or rising sun walk of 8.5km, which will take you to Pointe de Saint-Cast (2h30).
Meet at Saint-Cast nautical center, labeled eco-responsible, and take advantage of the many nautical activities offered, such as Sheer, kayak or stand-up paddle boarding. If you prefer to stay on dry land, test your skills on the terrain of paddle or pickleball !
Did you know ? The port of Saint-Cast is labeled “clean port”, so let’s take advantage of this to take care of our waste! 🌿
Return to Matignon by bus at the end of the afternoon (line 31), and if you are not tired, you can take the walk “in the footsteps of Grimaldi”, or enjoy the swimming pool at camping !
Local gem and Natura 2000 site
MorningTake line 2 Breizhgo summer which connects Matignon to Saint-Cast, then line 14 to reach Le Guildo. Arrival scheduled for late morning. Enjoy the charm of this little corner of paradise, with the guildo castle, the port and the natural phenomenon of ringing stones, which resonate with a metallic sound when struck with a stone.
heading west takes you down theArguenon by kayak (7km, 2h)!
Then, take the Breizhgo bus line 14 in the afternoon to arrive at Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, the last stopover of this roadtrip without a car in Brittany ! Go to Pointe du Chevet, a Natura 2000 classified area for a view of the Ebihens Archipelago, accessible at low tide. To learn more about this charming fishing village, follow the interpretation trail and visit the Fisherman's House 🎣

What if we took advantage of this last night to sleep in a typical Breton fishing village? Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer is a must during your trip to Brittany. For the day of return, your choice! You can return to Dinan station, with the line 12 Breizhgo, or extend your eco-responsible stay, by taking the line 14 Breizhgo which will take you to the corsair city of Saint-Malo.
